Broker Check

What To Expect

Our first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. We want to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance and capacity for risk. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of our foundation of success.

Initial Contact

Every relationship starts differently, many are referred by a current client, other professional, friend or family member; others may have just stumbled onto the website or from social media. However we are introduced, whether it is a phone call, email or just happens to come up in conversation, you have expressed interest in having a professional review your current situation or learning what I do for my clients. This initial contact leads to the Introductory Meeting...

Introductory Meeting

The introductory meeting is the starting point for all relationships. This meeting is designed to be a quick (15-20 minutes) phone call or virtual meeting. The goal of this meeting is simple...to make sure there is a solid match and synergy between what you are looking for and the services I provide. I'll ask some basic questions about why you are looking for a financial advisor, your situation and how I operate. If we both agree it could be a good match we will talk about next steps...the "Discovery Meeting".

Discovery Meeting

This is where we move from general discussion into more detailed topics. The goal of this meeting is for me to become more educated on your financial situation, and for me to educate you enough about my process for you to make a "hiring decision". To prepare I will provide you with a "Discovery Meeting Checklist". This is not a sales meeting, my goal is to educate you on my process and walk through how any fees/costs will work. If you decide to proceed, we will move onto the "Get Organized & Planning Meeting".

Get Organized & Planning Meeting(s)

We will have two areas of focus. The first is detailed data collection. Most clients have what I call a "financial junk drawer". We will proactively work together to collect and organize all current data across your financial world. Secondly, we will have a discussion to clearly define your specific vision and goals. Once we have an accurate picture of your current financial situation, as well as a clear understanding of your vision and goals, we will begin planning. We will create a defined list of problems, issues, and concerns to begin working on immediately. We will also use planning software to create a comprehensive financial strategy with detailed projections and analysis for the future and open any necessary accounts to move forward in investment management.

Ongoing - Execute / Evaluate / Review / Adjust

Once we get through the initial organization and setup, it is critical we commit to a plan of ongoing review and maintenance. Goals will change, markets will go up and down, life will throw you an occasional curveball. We will be here for regularly scheduled communications to review your plan, portfolio, taxes and any other item in your financial world. I am also available on-demand for any of those times you need a professional to answer a question or provide advice.

As you can see, the process is well-defined and structured, but also designed to be flexible to address the needs of every client situation and goals. I look forward to you reaching out for that initial contact to see if we might be a good fit to work together.
